Job Description:
A company is looking for a US-RIS Specialist to apply medical
coding to cardiovascular lab and interventional radiology
records.
Key Responsibilities
Apply ICD-10, CPT-4, and HCPCS codes to medical records based on
physician documentation
Verify supplies used during procedures and reconcile monthly
surgical logs
Manage multiple job tasks daily, including emails and surgical
logs
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Proficient knowledge of ICD-10, CPT-4, and HCPCS coding
Licenses and certifications such as AAPC-CPC or AHIMA-CCS are
required
Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
Ability to maintain high productivity and accuracy in coding
Proficient computer skills, including use of encoders and MS Office
applications
