Job Description:

A company is looking for an Authorization Specialist II to support the prior authorization request process and assist the utilization management team.

Key Responsibilities

Aids the utilization management team by tracking and documenting authorizations and referrals
Researches and documents necessary medical information for the authorization review process
Verifies member insurance coverage and updates authorization requests in the utilization management system

Required Qualifications

High School diploma or GED
1 - 2 years of related experience
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance preferred
