Position Summary----The Director of Order Management and Sales
Operations plays a key leadership role at MTA, driving the
integration of estimating and scheduling operations to enhance
customer experience and operational efficiency. This role focuses
on pricing strategies, scheduling optimization, and performance
metrics to achieve company goals. The director will lead team
development, create standardized operating procedures (SOPs), and
implement training programs to build a scalable and reliable
department. The ideal candidate will foster a team culture focused
on responsiveness, creativity, collaboration, and delivering
high-quality results for commercial success.--Key
ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipDevelop and execute strategic
plans to optimize estimating and scheduling operations, aligning
with organizational objectives.Implement and manage KPIs to
measure, monitor, and improve team performance and execution.Foster
a culture of continuous improvement through cross-training,
streamlined processes, and leveraging automation and
technology.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including
sales, operations, and technical support, to drive efficiency and
ensure seamless service delivery.Team Development & ManagementHire,
onboard, and develop a high-performing team of Estimators and
Schedulers, ensuring alignment with company goals.Provide coaching,
mentoring, and ongoing professional development opportunities to
team members.Establish and enforce the creation of standardized
operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and scalability
across the team.Design and implement robust training programs to
onboard new team members efficiently and equip them for
success.Create a sustainable and reliable team environment that
minimizes reliance on single points of expertise and ensures
repeatable processes.Estimating OperationsOversee the preparation
and review of accurate quotes and proposals in collaboration with
the sales team and subject matter experts, ensuring alignment with
pricing strategies and margin targets.Leverage expertise in
blueprints, technical specifications, and industry standards (e.g.,
NFPA 99) to validate the accuracy of quotes and scopes of
work.Maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to
ensure proposals meet quality and cost requirements.Scheduling
OperationsImplement and manage efficient scheduling systems to
optimize resource allocation and turnaround times.Coordinate with
operations and field teams to align schedules with project
requirements and customer timelines.Monitor scheduling workflows to
identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.Operational
ExcellenceLead initiatives to streamline operations, reduce manual
processes, and enhance scalability using systems and automation
tools.Identify and resolve inefficiencies in workflows, fostering
collaboration between departments to eliminate silos.Analyze data
to develop insights and drive decisions that improve operational
outcomes.QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, Engineering,
or a related field required. Advanced degree (MBA, MS) strongly
preferred.Minimum of 7-10 years of hands-on leadership experience
managing teams in estimating, scheduling, or operations management,
preferably within the TIC industry or a closely related
field.Proven track record of developing, implementing, and
consistently achieving KPIs that demonstrate measurable
improvements in performance, accuracy, and efficiency.Demonstrated
success in leading large-scale operational process improvements,
resulting in significant time, cost, or resource savings.Ability to
interpret and apply technical standards and codes such as NFPA 99
in operational processes.Experience in designing and implementing
pricing models and strategies in collaboration with sales teams and
technical subject matter experts to maximize profitability while
maintaining competitiveness.Proven ability to evaluate, implement,
and scale workflow automation technologies to reduce manual effort
and improve system scalability.Direct ownership of creating and
enforcing SOPs, including the design and execution of training
programs to ensure team compliance, operational reliability, and
scalability.--Work Environment-- This is a full-time, office-based
role with minimal travel requirements. Occasional extended hours
may be required to meet deadlines or address urgent operational
