Job Description:
A company is looking for an Assistant Vice President,
Reinsurance and Retirement Actuary.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the reinsurance strategy for the Retirement Division and
maintain relationships with reinsurers
Analyze potential future reinsurance transactions and assess
existing agreements for financial viability
Lead cross-functional projects and coordinate with various internal
departments related to reinsurance
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a strong quantitative
background
8-10 years of insurance-related actuarial experience, including 2+
years in reinsurance
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation required
Experience with annuities is mandatory; Fixed Indexed Annuity and
Registered Indexed Annuity experience preferred
Exceptional technical skills, including proficiency in complex
spreadsheets and data management tools
